Our animal ambulance is available around the clock, every day of the year, for emergency call-outs.
Christmas day, Boxing Day and New Years Day are charged at an initial fee of £50 plus the total journey service charge / OOH charge for the entire 24 hours on each day.
We provide coverage throughout the Yorkshire district & nationwide for some services.
Our pet taxi is available between 8am-8pm Monday to Friday.
To prebook a pet taxi, we require a 50% deposit within two hours of booking or immediately if short notice.
You can make the payment via bank transfer or card payment over the phone.
We kindly ask you to note that in case of cancellations made less than 48 hours before your pet's pick-up time, the deposit will not be refunded.
Cancellations made 12 hours or less will require full payment.
Emergency call-outs require a call out charge deposit via card payment or bank transfer before we depart to collect your pet.
We are unable to offer service without a deposit during out of hours.
Deposits for out-of-hour callouts are non-refundable.
Call outs for aggressive pets carry an initial £150 call out fee plus service charges of £25 per hour in West Yorkshire, North, East, South Yorkshire £35 per hour.
Please note that under extreme circumstances where we are unable to transport your pet, our fees will still apply.
Transportation of deceased pets carry a set call out fee of £150 for small pets, £175 for medium, £200 for large, £225 for giant.
North, East & South Yorkshire may incur an additional £35 depending on location.
For pets that come under medium size and above our fee includes an additional team member to assist in carrying your pet respectfully.
All charges include cleaning fees; however, fumigation fees or additional cleaning charges are not covered. If any pets are found to have fleas, mites, worms or other transferable diseases, a fee of £100 will be charged for fumigation and cleaning.
We accept payment in cash, card, or bank transfer.
However, deposits must be made electronically before we depart for service.
If a full invoice is required there will be a £15 admin fee which will be required to be paid before the invoice is generated.
All clients are required to provide accurate information about their pet's behaviour and condition when booking our service. Please note that sick and injured pets are at a higher risk for biting. Pets with a history of aggression or unpredictable behaviour pose an elevated risk to our team and veterinary staff.
For the safety and wellbeing of your pet, please be transparent with us about how they were injured / became sick. It will help us manage, manoeuvre and transport them in a way that best suits their needs.
If our team feels threatened or intimidated during the service, we will end it immediately.
All fees are still chargeable.
The Big Paws Little Paws Co accept no liability for any pet becoming deceased whilst in our care from any injury, illness or disease they were being transported to the vet for or that they had previously been diagnosed with or any underlaying conditions that haven't yet been diagnosed.
We only accept payments for the services we provide, if you need to pay a vet or any other party, please make sure you pay them directly.
One person per pet. We're insured to carry one person with the pet, while the pet is under our care travelling to a veterinary practice or hospital only, and only if one of our team is required for the service.
If you would like to travel with your pet and two team members are required on our part, we kindly ask you to find alternative transportation with a licenced taxi company or family / friend and we will meet you at the destination with your pet.
Any personal items or belongings of the client is carried by themselves and at their own responsibility and risk, The Big Paws Little Paws Co accept no liability or responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit or during service.
We assume all our clients are happy to have their pets feature on our social media, website, and other marketing platforms under our copyright, unless you request otherwise.
When transporting dogs of a banned breed we must follow all laws and legislations. Please provide the original copy of your licence, third party insurance and also have your dog securely muzzled with the correct fitment.
